Well, things changed a bit rather quickly. Don't think the poll is reflective of the trading community anymore. This is like those penis surveys. Small guys tend to be silent while the bigger ones feel free to respond. A number of people are obviously prone to exaggerate or even plainly make up stuff as well.
As i work at a prop firm, my account is 0, but my BP is over a mill, so this doesnt really represent everyone accurately.
I am starting my day trading career small with 5k, once I can prove it to myself that I can make money consistently, I will probably go to 10-20k. For now let it earn 4.5% in the bank. When I get good and have a tradomg account with 100k plus I will probably pull most of the money out and put it in safe investements until I learn how to scale in and out with larger size positions.
