  1. No University will teach you trading. You learn to trade by starting on a trading floor in a big financial house.

The finance degree is for insurance, broker work, Banker or Investment banker career and maybe sell side

Economics is a better overall degree for understanding market behavior and how interactions between currency, debt, spending, interest rates ect..effect markets..including bond markets, currency markets, futures and commodities

Graduate degree: MBA is only another 1.5 years longer. Its a good general degree for getting your first employment. Dont expect much from an MBA. Just try to get the degree from the Best School name (its all about school names). And collect all the networking and friendship connections you possibly can there. Start regularly calling them right after the MBA is finished. Always stay in touch with them.

Series 7 would also be good to get your first placement on a trading floor (no manditory)

  2. I like to stick on being a retail trader then managing someone's millions for small commissions.

  3. economics can be good if it takes less time.

  4. I like to be an investment banker but i cant accept to leave trading to manage someone money.

The reason i started trading is because of economics, eco is something which is really interesting and pays all of the life expenses.

By time you have three years of good performance to show others you can manage money, why get 20% when you can make 100%. You don't have to get calls why a drawdown and twice as many calls when making equity highs. Too much stress and bs trading for others.

  9. Time has changed but not the idea.

If you are trading alone it doesn't mean everyone is doing the same there are a lot of trading floors exist in Dubai/London/berlin/nyc just for you clarification all of them runs by retails.

  10. I think the same, there is a lot of stress in doing trading for someone else. even if they guarantee they won't fire if my trade went wrong.
