what's your Jack Hershey trading system win/loss ratio ?

  1. Absolutely no one brags about their loosing trades but honest traders will admit to having them. I personally have them all of the time.

My trading goals are to achieve more winning trades than loosing trades, my winning trades need to be consistently larger than my loosing trades and that my stops give each trade room to run but are tight enough to protect my profit.

How about your trades; ever have a loosing trade, make a mistake, ever error in anyway while trading?

  2. Lets look at what's possible

There were 8 gyrations measuring over 50 pts each today on the YM for a total of 730 available pts.

If you know how to trade the gyrations taking a chunk of each move with an accurate and reliable method with signals that keep you on the right side then lets look at what is possible from the days offer. It is not impossible to take a chunk from each gyration and if you break it down by percentage of move captured....

    Good 10-20% 73pts-146pts

    Great 20-40% 146pts- 292pts

    Elite 50-70% 365pts- 511pts

  3. I think you mean ticks not points. For example, I took 1 trade which was a scalp on CL for 10 ticks of profit.

  4. You need to be careful posting common sense statements like that. The ignorant police will start calling you names.

by the way . . . well stated.

Lately the volatility has been way up. Remember the days when ES moved in a 5 pts range??? Making 8 pts per day 3 years ago was way bigger feat than today...

your math was a little bit off, lets try again. 1/2 of jh traders that he pm said they are profitable hence 50% jh traders are profitable. Now that's statistically signifficant number!

  8. Using your own math, what percentage of moderators on this site have IQ's over 100?

An experiment that vindicates Hershey's point about SCT getting the trader in sync with the market. Yes, "with cans"!

What on earth type of instrument gives you slippage after 3 contracts? Are you trading onion futures in Mongolia or something?
