  1. Gordon Gekko: You're walking around blind without a cane, pal. A fool and his money are lucky enough to get together in the first place.

    also...

Gordon Gekko: It's not a question of enough, pal. It's a zero sum game, somebody wins, somebody loses. Money itself isn't lost or made, it's simply transferred from one perception to another.

    also...

Gordon Gekko: I don't throw darts at a board. I bet on sure things. Read Sun-tzu, The Art of War. Every battle is won before it is ever fought.

    and finally...

Gordon Gekko: The most valuable commodity I know of is information.

"your only as good as your last trade"....unknown

my grandpa told me this one, not sure where he got it:
"It's not what you know it's who you know...and it's not who you know, it's what they think of you."

I like the "chop wood carry water" one to.

  4. you are mistaken, once again.

coca cola holds over 800 patents which are renewed on a regular basis.

what on earth are you talking about??

  5. The formula for Coke is a Trade Secret idiot, it's not patented. The patents that Coke holds are primarily for their manufacturing process. Go ask your research monkey to look it up for you.

"Everyone gets what they want out of the market."

This must have been dreamed up after reading one to many 70's pop psychology books. Completely bogus and easily refuted.

  9. I'd have to agree. You're quite right again, as usual. That's the main difference between winners and losers in trading. :D

  10. Yo Odd, when are you going to post a response in the earlier thread to show an example of a Market that isn't trending? I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for your response. Can't be that hard since they don't exist.
