Whats with the spikes in index futures after cash close

  1. Real jumpy, bid asks just disappear for a second and it whips all over the place.

    Now we get a rally.

    I won't touch that crap. Rule of thumb -- when it's slow -- Stay out!! Shut the computer off, go to an unrelated site. Just don't short for a few "easy tics". When thin and slow, the Street will press em higher. That's their game. They do it with all futures during thin trading conditions. Anyone remember the Cotton market this past Xmas and New Year's. That market was murder if you were short. But anyone you fell for that "smoke and mirrors" move and got long too late around 12/29, 12/30 got killed as usual. Same w/ the grains.
