Jerry, thank you very much for the patch. I had attempted to port over my QT chart layout to Ninja Trader but QT is by magnitudes a better charting platform for discretionary trading. I appreciate your continued support for QT. Please keep us updated if and when you plan to port the QT design to a Ninja Trader like platform that would allow backtesting and automation. Regards, NT
Love QT and sometimes IB but.. Volume and Tick charts feed from IB are garbage since 4/19/12. Futures: CL, GC, YM, and likely more products/indexes Many emails/phone calls to IB, no response. Talked to market data people explained cumulative volume column in TWS changed. The "new" stock.exe 3.98a doesnt solve this problem. To anyone: Will there be a patch? Any news from IB on a resolution? backup plan.. running a separate QT feed from IQfeed. (MAJOR dif in charts) seems IQfeed has high volume of IB QT users. They will have a vested interest in keeping QT running.
IB is not updating the volume regularly on those symbols,so there's nothing in QT that can be done about it. it is not a patch issue. As for IQFeed, they did put out an update specifically for QT to address their update that would have otherwise broken the QT connection to IQFeed, so, yes, they do take care of their clients.
Jerry - thanks a bunch Just came to same conclusion. lower frequency of volume posted in T&S IB has been informed.
