No to Reagan. Yes to genetic alteration. Combine genetic alteration with real practical education (not most college degrees) and we might start increasing productivity growth again. I’m for many left-leaning policies like universal healthcare (not single-payer though), equalizing the K-12 education gap, gradual increases in the minimum wage, unions, etc. I think just printing money and handing it out to everybody is dumb policy though. It doesn’t fix waste, creates nothing, causes rapid inflation, and possibly disincentivizes production as people no longer have to work for money.
Apple sells both manufactured products and services. Their products come with service. If you look at the statistics, over half of the Apple employees are in the United States. While the physical IPhone might be manufactured in China, a lot of the work leading up to and after the creation is done here. It’s impossible to be a strong consumer economy without simultaneously being a strong producer economy. That production can be in either goods or services. Over the years we have become more of a service economy. However, if you produce nothing at all then nobody will feed you in the long run.
Being a consumer economy does.not mean you produce nothing.... But ask yourself why Apple has so many service jobs...because they are tied to the consumer purchasing Apple products...which are made overseas. The service sector is driven by the consumer economy. Its like you bragging we have a ton of U.S. auto mechanics...yeah they are all working on foreigh cars..duh.
Biden is a lousy President, lousy for the economy, his handling of Afganistan was lousy, and Ukraine only happened because he is a weak President. Any questions?
Biden being lousy doesnt change the fact the world has seen significant inflation. The fact that in a thread where you tried to argue Biden caused inflation you now are talking about Afghanistan and Ukraine means you agree you are wrong and trying to change the topic.
Maybe he shouldnt have been a pussy. In Afghanistan, the Taliban dictated the withdraw and Biden met every one of their demands. When that occurred Putin knew it was time to act. The guy has 50 years of foreign policy failures. He was quit literally on the wrong side of everyone. "Biden has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Robert Gates, Secretary of Defense for Obama
So if Biden handles the Afghanistan withdrawal better then in your view Putin doesn’t invade Ukraine? That was actually the incident that led to Putin making his decision?
The Taliban withdrawal plan was handled directly by Trump and Pompeo. Trump made it explicitly clear he wanted to undermine the Afghan government and negotiate directly w/Taliban leadership. He even went so far as to plan hosting them at Camp David. Don't let redhat revisionists tell you otherwise.
Biden executed the plan. It was messy. I don't think it's unreasonable to give Biden some blame for the way we withdrew. However, the idea that Biden leaving Afghanistan is why Putin invaded Ukraine is brand new to me. I'm also not sure what he's advocating for that would have made the difference in stopping Putin.
Blaming Trump for Biden's execution of the withdrawal is ridiculous, although I do not expect anything but ridiculous from Cuddles. Biden demonstrated our weakness with the Afghan mess. It is not the reason for the Ukraine war but it is definitely one of many reasons.
