I was Just boredly, randomly, Googling this question a half hour ago. And Boom, I see it here. Divine Less than 1% of day traders are profitable, relatively consistently, in 5 years. The numbers are very slim. Trading profitably is similar to becoming a professional athlete. But I would personally say failing to think somewhat independently and creatively. Too many square basic personalities pickup a trading book or course and think they've hit the jackpot. If it were that plainly easy....every dumbass would be rich trading

Quote the oracle of Omaha : Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy The opposite is also true : Be Greedy When Others Are Fearful It does not happen often but if it does, it presents profit opportunity. The most recent one happened on April 8th, 2025.
Asia 3.2 million i would love to know what % of these asian traders are successful, cause i have been around some when they were gambling.
I disagree. I put on a Trade today $100K, I'll scale in up to $400K, probably different Assets as the Market changes. But I feel nothing. When I take a loss, I'm disappointed, I reassess, when I'm winning I buy a Chocolate Thickshake. Researching and testing is no different to trading for me. Maybe being shot at, had knives pulled on me, dealing with attacking dogs etc has desensitised me lol.
