What's the easiest way to short gas lawn mowers?

  1. A lot of the attraction to battery powered anything comes from people not maintaining their ICE equipment.
Especially NOT draining the gas tank if it is not to be used for several weeks.

I think the professional landscapers have a serious dislike for battery powered stuff.
    They all lack the torque.

  2. EGO is awesome. This one can do 2 acres on a single charge...you can burn rubber and it has a beer holder. :)

  3. You mean...

As far as torque, I can spin the tires of my zero-turn. Just like cars electric will have more power than gas can offer...especially torque. I mean if I ran a business then probably gas is better because you can just re-fill the tank on the fly instead of going in for a nap while the battery charges.

Looks like the prices have gone up though...I think I got mine for around 2k-3k CAD or something a few years ago.

(didn't I start a topic how having a lawn mowing business is better than most day trading?)

The carbon footprint is insignificant. You mow what, twice a month for 6-8 months? Most ppl here are urban and don’t have lots requiring a rider.

  5. You can use a zero-turn in any size yard. It makes mowing fun...but they offer regular mowers as well which work as good as any gas mower without all the hassle. :)

Well, it's got better residual value than your Gallardo.

im thinking of buying a riding mower with a plow and adding a shed. The payback on just snowplowing the driveway is 1.5 seasons!
