What's the difference between technical analysis and quantitative analysis?

TA has nothing to do with quant analysis. however the TA true believers will try to convince you otherwise.

 

I've noticed you despise QA and the quants who practice it. Why?

 

Could someone please recommend an introductory text to QA?
