What's the deal w/ US Steel? From 190 to 66?

  1. why in the world are people pulling money out of commodities when the market is tanking?
    ags? people still have to eat
    oil? gold? where else can an investor put his money if these don't do well in times like this
    I unserstand steel bec. overall growth is slowing down

  3. china and india no longer exist so there is no more demand for us steel, no demand --> equilibreum price goes down, supply meets demand at a lower price

    If you're a long term investor and you're invested in fundamentally sound companies that have pulled back in a bear market, just give it a few years for recovery. We made our first stock investments in our IRAs back in 2000. We never knew what a serious drawdown there was in the accounts during the 2001-2003 recession and recovery, because we never looked at them. We made our long term investors in sound companies and that was that. Probably would've had ulcers had we watched our stocks during that period :p
