I don't see anyone comming up with BETTER screeners than IB How/where can you access IB anyway (Web addr etc) I use Marketwatch which is just slightly delayed but intraday Find and send some better screeners to: gudway@charter.net Thanks
I would love to find a stock screener like MARKETWATCH www.marketwatch.com/tools/stockresearch/screener/ but with at least one indicator parameter added like STOCHASTICS. Tat would make it a great screener. Best would be a screener that is: Intraday, real time, streaming, and has price, volume, PER, EMA, and Stochastics Anyone find such a screener, please emaail me gudway@charter.net Thanks
Boys, I think the issue here is this. There are TONS of stock screeners. Yahoo, MSN, eSignal, IB, Stockfetcher and the list goes on and on and on and on. There are ONLY a hand full if that of real time scanners that show you things as they happen. Those are: Trade-Ideas (my choice) Whisper Cyclops That is about it. Screeners are the same things as a filter. But once you have the list of stocks the questions is what to do with it, that is where the scanning aspect comes to light. For me TI has the bests feature rich functionality and the best price points.
The best stock screener is a friend who works in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of a major law firm.
I checked out the website for Cyclops. http://www.cyclopstools.com/index.php There's nothing there except a home page that states that it's a stock screening tool. What exactly does it do?
They do similar stuff to Trade-Ideas. A real-time alerts system. I don't know the specifics on it but have heard that a few traders use them. I am just saying that for real-time alerts that are based on screens there are not many choices. People confuse terms like: Filters Screeners Scanners Alerts That is why I am a big for of Trade-Ideas. You can set your alerts to work in real-time and then screen them using filters to make sure that you only get alerted on stocks that meet your specific criteria.
