What's the best indicator?

Alexander Elder recommends (but advises you to find whatever works best for you): 22 bars for the daily chart and 26 bars for the weekly chart. He recommends use of % based bands (not Bollinger) and MACD 12,26,9 too.

 

Well of course it's the Super Bowl Indicator followed closely by the Hemline.

 

what indicators work better on bars and

what indicators work bettter on candles?

or does it really matter what kind of chart they are ?, sense bars and candles are basicly the same thing anyway...
