Discussion in 'Economics' started by libertad, Jun 28, 2008.

  1. The US American Story is now largely being reflected in the likes of GM,Ford, Chrysler.......Old Style Politics run amuck....Legal Largesse killing productivity and the US tax base.....The Banking and Brokerage Abomination......The Absense of an Energy Policy....Inexpensive But Good Labor Not US Based.....Government Promises That Cannot Be Kept Because The Money Went Elsewhere......Sovereignty Has Left Town.....
A Too Taxing Tax System.....Horrendus Governmental Leadership Tied To Special Interests and Not The People......The list goes on and on......The ME Now and Not You Prevalences................
    ....................................................................................................

However even with all the baggage....is the finest country in the world with regards to the accomplishments by its people....and still has the option to always lead the world in just about every category imaginable.....

The new areas of change that will turn the ship around....

High Quality Cheap Equal Access Based Internet Education

Making the Dollar the best world choice

Eliminating the IRS and REPLACEMENT by a Single Consumption
    Tax

Changing the Energy and Habits Behind Mobility

    Make Legal Largesse Illegal.....Regulate Regulation

Reward Innovation Via Government and Industry

Decide Upon Which Industries Should Be Globalized

    Decide Upon What Is Sovereign

    ................................................................................................

And Thus Show The Rest of The World How To Do What You Did
    ...................................................................................................

    Also do not fear...fear....

Actually the best thing that could happen is a wave of bankruptcies and for the governemnt to declare bankruptcy....

    Then you can start over.....

And build it right this time......

Wipe the slate clean.....and build it better next time......learn from the mistakes.....

    Loss will build strength.......

Historically, the vanquished do not rise again. The "destruction" of the US will mostly mean the bankruptcy of nearly all US citizens just as it has done in other countries.

The US won't go away, of course. It will just be owned by "others" whose currency was not destroyed... they'll swoop in and buy US assets on the cheap... and we'll end up doing their laundry and cleaning their houses.

Everything else you said, libertad, is spot on. Sad to see that our Gummint is just as self-serving, greedy and corrupt in its own way as most others. And unfortunately, the upcoming election won't change the big picture at all.

Where's the next Andrew Jackson? We need you NOW... DESPERATELY!

    ....................................................................................................

As you already know...assets are already being bought on the cheap.....it is starting at least....

Perfect example....the recent BUD buyouy by Inbev....

They are buying in EUROs.....and now that 90 vs 157 is available....they want to use the current US Dollar weakness....

The only thing left to do to protect the dollar is to take interest rates to 10% for the 5 year bond.....although it will have a BAA rating....

Let what is going to go bankrupt ....go bankrupt....

Time to do a thorough clensing....

As in the "Eddie Murphy" movie....

It is time To Get A Thorough Colon Clensing......

Starting with Cheney/Bush....stopping up the colon.....

glad you clarified you are talking about US americans, someone might have thought you were refering to US mexicans or US canandians

  5. LOOOOL you dont' have a clue what you're talking about. Compare it to Europe, man, we can only DREAM about a low tax heaven like the US.

I, for instance, pay 52% income tax, pay 1.70 euro (!) for one liter of gasoline (everything above 0.60 is tax), pay 3x more for a brand new car than you pay in the US (difference = tax). When I'd die and would want to leave money to a good friend, she/he has to pay up to 60% tax on that. Get with the program, US = tax haven.

But then again, EVERY body over here is insured for healthcare, EVERYBODY is insured of money, even if you can't work or whatever, you'll still get 1000 eur/month, we have way less pollution, better roads, lower crime, better police force, better and more affordable education etc, so i do see where the money is going. Still, as a trader, I'd personally rather live in the US, because that 52% income tax DOES hurt ;)

lol, you referring to Rome? Well, they didn't have thermonuclear weapons. When the visigoths come to the door of the U.S. we'll nuke 'em. :D

Jackson was able to do what he did with the currency because he had enough popular support to get elected. We have another Andrew Jackson in our midst now but Dr. Paul is being shunned. Big mistake imo.

You would be even higher if in the highest tax bracket and living in New York. You would be over 60% with federal, state, medicare, and self employment tax. Staying in Europe is your better choice.
