sometimes I ask myself the same question - where and how was all this garbage started... very puzzling..

but I am fairly certain - the TA is used to satisfied the needs of the public 'to know'... that's human nature, people are raised with cause-effect reasoning, you study hard, get good grades, get good job, then live happily ever after... perhaps this is why the blue indicator crossing the red indicator and the head and shoulders and the fibo 38.2% retrace is so appealing, as if all of a sudden the very fuzzy stock market becomes crystal clear, there is no fuzziness anymore, the blue line either crosses the red or it doesn't... the retrace is either 38.2% or it isn't and so on...

the market would make far less sense to the public if you start talking pros and amateurs, game theory, participant psychology... all the stuff that is actually directly tied to how the game is played.

  10. Many years ago when I started my accounting career, I worked in the corporate treasury department doing reporting on the company pension. Hence my alias. The pension committee were the ones who get to select the investment managers. I was just doing the administrative stuffs.
