You're not taking nearly seriously enough the threat Trump's mental condition poses to our Republic in a time of crisis.
There are two Trump appointments that are going to do extreme damage. One is Kavanaugh, the other Barr. Let's hope the damage these two do doesn't turn out to be fatal. It's bizarre that most everyone recognizes that Trump is afflicted with severe narcissism and has sociopathic tendencies, making him dangerous and totally unsuited to the Presidency; yet the Republican Senate and the Cabinet have kept him in office. In that way, they have unwittingly made themselves complicit with the wreckage he is leaving in his wake. Many are clearly afraid of him, and they should be. The only ones blind to the dangers he presents are Bannon's strange alt-right, and the tea party folks who believe government is bad. The Tea Party has proven George Soros right when he said, in giving an example of his reflexivity postulate, "If you believe government is bad, you will create bad government."
I have seen several posts about people getting sick of losing their freedoms and rights. Just remember who was ahead of the curve and brought up the topic first. THE WILDCHILD
what a truly dangerous statement you support and Soros made. It is the opposite of the approach used by the classical liberals who founded America and led the West to democracy and freedom from Monarchs and Govt tyranny. If the Founders of America believed what you believe we in the US would still be Brits and Britain would not have a Parliament in control but an all powerful Monarch. Soros' and your beliefs lead to concentrated power in remote elites.
Hmmm, good government leads to concentrated power in remote elites. OK, if you say so. Or said another way, " Whatever."
Oh, so you've been watching John Wayne Movies. I couldn't let that dumb remark of yours go without commenting. Franklin did not say, "A democracy ma'am, if you can keep it." He said, "A Republic ma'am, if you can keep it." Well so far, until Trump, we've kept it: a plutocratic Republic barely more democratic than the Founders had envisioned. Now, of course, we are sliding headlong into an Autocracy, and no one that could stop it, i.e., Moscow Mitch and Co., will.
