Speaking of recalls. Is there a good site where I can monitor for news of recalls? I don't usually pay attention to the main news.
Imo it also depends on how well you treat your car. I tend to treat my junks nicer then other people therefore my $hit last longer.
Ok, here you go. I drive a Ninja14 as often as I can. I have a couple of 4 wheelers(ie cars), and a couple of 2 wheelers. The most fun I have is flat out speed. Go fast and enjoy the dirt. That is my motto.
That 3.6r is a VERY nice engine. My next car will be a Subaru. I'm DONE with Mercedes. Over-engineered trouble is all they are.
but you have agree-the level of comfort is superior. specially on sedans. addictive too. like high speed internet. once you try it-it's hard to downsize.
Oh, I'll miss the benz as it's very driver friendly, fast, etc., Just won't miss the $1,000+ every time I go to get something done.
something gotta give that's why i do all the maintenance myself. week ago got check engine light with P0456 code. Evaporative Emissions System - Small leak detected could be anything from gas cap to the fuel tank leak reset it and see,if it's pops up again. something gotta give
You've got a benz? I've got an E550. I like it, but my wallet does NOT. Hope you have less trouble than I do. I should have bought that warranty I guess.
in 2007 i bought used 2005 E320 for my wife. for about 21K. fairly simple car, i like it. there was some problems here and there, but nothing major. like i said-fixing anything at dealership is out of question. the prices are ridiculous. they would probably charge you 300$-500 or so just to read the code described above. (which really takes 2 min and any decent scanner like this one)- http://www.amazon.com/Autel-MaxiSca...8&qid=1374178035&sr=8-1&keywords=odb2+scanner i bought the warranty too at the time when i bought the car(it was on factory warranty back then)total waste of money imo. cost me $1500 for 4 years and 50k miles. never used it or claimed anything. imo-if you buy a car -the key is to buy model that was been in production for many years. preferably-last year of production, before new major release(like in E Class with new 350 engine and different body, that come up after W211). everything is fixed, everything is known already. i have couple rich friends, who buy a brand new MB's every time they release a new model (S classes)-nothing,but the trouble. they probably spend more time at the dealerships than on the road.
