What would your last day of work be like?

What happened 1st. I knew it was coming, actually told 1 month ahead of time the final date. That day I met the manager at the office, handed over my ID's and was escorted out by 3 Sheriffs. The Sheriff's make it seem dramatic, but was required by policy so not a real big deal.
Now for fun on a last day I would have set up all kind of practical jokes, like water cups over doors, black shoe polish on a bunch of phones, penny a couple people into their office after disconnecting their phone service, a couple kick me stickers on peoples backs. Most of the the simple pleasure things that I had done in the past. The best part was always watching people retaliate on the one they thought had done it, and the escalation from there. :D

  2. You are right, HolyGrail. Flipping the finger to the boss is an immature gesture. This is the kind of thing I would never ever dare to do in the corporate world in which I work in. It only exist in my imagination.

I apologize to you, HolyGrail, and whoever who were offended by my comment about giving my boss the finger at my last day of work.

  3. Sounds like it's gonna be total chaos for your last day of work, but it does sound like fun. I sure hope to see you become a highly profitable trader and have your fun at your last day of work! :)

  4. Fun? Who needs that? Our job is trading. You might think that you are having fun when you trade but you don't. Your addicted to markets. Like a 7 year old to video games. Its fun yes, that what you think but how many times do you laugh during the trading? Maybe a smile or two when you win otherwise.......

Trading is an addiction and I like it :p

What I love is sex and getting trashed......you might not think thats fun but I am much much much younger than you. So in contrary you might love to do other things.

  5. Hmmm? Last day of work? Probably just a faint memory of an amublance coming to take me off to the emergency room with my hands clutching my wireless keyboard, all the while my brother hollering to "get back by tomorrow".....(well, maybe not, but you never know, so take some time to enjoy yourselves).

    All the best,

    Don

  6. I would give my notice, request that I be permitted to leave immediately (with or without pay, doesn't matter), go around and shake the hands of everyone who I cared about, walk out, and never go back again.

Hmm. Actually, that is how I did it 20 years ago.

Its hard to come to the recognition that nobody really cares about you, your leaving, or what happens to you after you leave. So, don't be a jerk about it. Just leave. And go live your life.
