What would be a day trading "starter kit"?

2 screens, trading gets boring 1 for netflix, 1 for charts.

Agreed on the start small $50 account, so many got suckered into the need 10k+ to start and just lose it instantly.

    Two Solid 4K monitors
    Low latency trading solution
Intuitive and easy to navigate platform for execution and charting.
Remove all apps that require real-time streaming that could drain your computer power and affect the latency of your execution.

OK, one for Netflix, the other for porn, but what does he need for trading?

Peke's snark aside, yes a dedicated computer for trading and separate one for email, browsing, Pandora, Youtube etc. Two monitors on trading puter are plenty if trading one or two markets but stocks or multi futures may be better with more.

Nothing streaming should be on your computer when you trade unless you get to different ISP providers. Anything streaming affects the lines and latency, hence could potentially slow execution. Watch that old tube device with the stick that changes channels.

    Completely agree.

I've seen difference in fills and other trading issues when someone had one ISP and they also had additional devices on the same cable as their trading computer.

Not much of an issue if someone is investing, swing trading but a great issue if someone is day trading or scalping.

Precisely. Those who trade frequently will be affected by latency more. Just do the Ctrl+Alt+Dlt and choose Task Manager. Then select Processes. You will be surprised to see how much is running in the background. Highlight what you don't need and click on End Task.
