What will be a good replacement for ER2 come SEPT?

  1. Has anyone investigated a good replacement for ER2, once it moves onto ICE, if I were to stay on Globex?

I've been reading about the S&P600.

  2. There really isnt a good replacement for the ER2 around, atleast from a day trader point of view.

The S&P 600 is around half the value of the russell 2K, so the daily tick range is half also.

EMD is almost as good but doesnt have nearly enough volume yet.

Lets hope ICE do a good job on retaining liquidity come September. And they can keep the ER2 volume above 100K a day. The S&P 600 would then be a good hedge should the ER2 on ICE ever have outages.. You would buy or sell 2 contracts for every 1 ER2 you have.
