Then give me YOUR definition of liberal so I can judge whether or not the definition I accept is valid.

How do you know where I get my definition of Christianity from? In typical liberal fashion you have taken it upon yourself to put words in my mouth because you cannot bring yourself to concede the truthfulness of the actual words I have spoken.

The definition I accept is the definition that was in use the first time the word Christian was used- Acts 11:26 …And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

When this word was first used the people who were identified as Christians believed that Jesus of Nazareth was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of a Virgin and that He is both fully a man and fully God and that He lived a sinless life while on earth and that He was crucified under Pontius Pilate to provide an atoning sacrifice for human sin and that He rose from the dead after 3 days whereupon He showed Himself to His followers over a period of 40 days before ascending bodily into Heaven with the promise that He would return.

Not everyone who claims to be a Christian today has all of these beliefs.

  2. It's your definition against mine. I respect your belief that your definition is the only valid one. But same goes for you. You have to respect my belief that my definition is the only valid one. So I call 76.5% of Americans Christians, while you call only 32% of them Christians. There is no right or wrong here. The difference is in the definition.

According to your definition, Christian and liberal are mutually exclusive. According to mine, they're not. We're both right.

    Does that make you happy?

On the contrary. You have no power to compel me to respect your belief or anything else that is yours. My respect has to be earned; it is not something I give.

  4. There is an obvious difference between a liberal and a conservative.

A liberal always respects others' religions. A conservative doesn't. His respect has to be "earned." If he doesn't agree with your religion, he doesn't respect you.

now this is this most absurd comment i've yet to read ...

i'm afraid you've outed yourself, you're a phd in physics as much as I'm a teenage female gymnast head to the olympics for my vault routine ...

Let me remind you of a famous quote, repeated ad nauseam by liberals, (the Left) ... "religion is the opium of the people"

All one has to do is give the self-righteous enough rope, because he will surely hang himself with it ...

  7. You really have a difficulty with reading. And a quite a bit of ignorance with history.

It's a fact that a true conservative does not respect others' religion until that respect is "earned."

Your so-called famous quote, is from Karl Marx, the arch enemy of liberalism. It just exposes your ignorance that you cannot tell the difference between liberalism, which is the foundation of capitalism, and communism, which is the exact opposite.

there are many things I'm ignorant of ... too many to count ... one thing I'm quite certain of is that today's liberals have abandoned any talk of "divinity"

for you to suggest that today's "liberals" appreciate and respect religion is as vauled as a crock-of-shit ...

  9. Instead of trash-talking, why don't you own up to your mistake and admit that you have confused capitalism with communism?

this is what I'm responding to.

It's unfortunate, the right has hijacked faith ... because the left has utterly abandoned it.

    ... good luck.
