What was your first computer

    Yeah, the old VIC! Did you have the tape recorder/drive with it? I can remember programming and playing those choose your own adventure text games :cool:

    That must have been a Commodore 64, I think the year was 1980. Loved playing 'Revenge of the Mutant Camels' lol and of course ZORK.

  5. I guess... Kinda dumb because people can only be as old as about 1980 when it comes to computers.

    Our first family computer was an IBM PC 5150 - we had it about 2 years before its public release. About 1-2 years prior to their public release we had just about every new release from IBM up until about 1987 when my dad changed jobs from IBM.

    My first personal computer (Parents bought it for me) was an IBM PC Convertable. Still have it in storage. This was around 1986-1987.

  6. My first computer was a Dragon 32 around 1982. Built in Wales!

    The company only lasted a couple of years before it went bust.

  7. What does "convertable" mean? I bought an Apple II+. Later IBM entered the market with the IBM PC, then XT, then AT. I still remember them as if it was yesterday. But don't recall seeing a "convertable".
