Both these guys got in the neighborhood of $300 million and they are both batting around 235.

They both ought to be embarrassed.

This Bryce Harper is so bad, he made the Drudge Report for being bad. Well I called this way before Drudge.

The guy was in Washington for years and they did nothing. They are winning in the playoffs without him. I thought he was supposed to be so great.

  4. Rather than give Harper $300 million they used that money to acquire 4 to 5 players who are contributing in a big way. So it is not Harper was not great, his numbers were great, but now the team could add more pieces for less money including a great pitcher and depth.

.260 35 HR aint great. Nationals did a good thing getting ride of him. He is a cancer in the club house.

  6. Well his stats overall with the club as far as HRs and RBIs have been very good. He averaged 30 HRs and 100 RBIs last 3 years. His batting average dipped. However he was not holding Nats back but it was a better move to invest in pitching and depth rather than throw it all at one player.

.260 35 HR and 114 RBI, that is what you get out of him year in and year out. 2019 was his most productive year since his MVP season and he is in his prime for next 5 years.

Let's not forget that the Nats did not want to resign him so he did not turn his back on the team. He got a great deal from the Phillies.

Well the whole thing has come full circle. Last year with Bryce Harper the Nationals missed the playoffs, this year without Bryce Harper, they win the world series. This year with Bryce Harper the Phillies missed the playoffs and they were not even close.

It sounds like the Nats knew exactly what they were doing.
