"What trading taught me outside of screen"

After a week of thinking about it, I can't think of anything taught outside of the screen. Personality wise, Am same a-hole as I was before trading.

ok so i share another skill I learned from trading:
when i speak to a someone I listen to the person (her price action fluctuations in the mood), I do not think I have to be right, because everyone has his own past and I just react sustaining, avoiding, listening when i can, and take a part of the move, in the end is the market that knows not me.
I know if there are some signals I will have a good probability to have a productive conversation, but is not sure is just an high probability setup, and I study the differences acquiring experience.

In another word react, don't predict.

LOL love your mind-numbing snide remarks. Anyway, why's it so dumb? What, making predictions, as opposed to reacting to price, is the way to go in the market? If so, why don't ya then tell me where the next reversal will be.

not sure but my edge is derived from a conversation with Dr David Paul published on Youtube. But thousands hours screen time surely helped to apply properly. Also found Market Wizards series and Mark Douglas's book very inspirational and helpful on my journey. Overall you are very right though

  7. Hello tomas262,

Good for you @tomas262 I am happy Dr. Paul on Youtube and all those books help you be better trader on your journey.

Everyone learns different, I have no issue and I respect anyone who wants to learn how to trade from books or YouTube, or whomever or however.

But for me I am not and never ever ever in a millions years, read NO book, buy a book, or give anyone my time or money to learn how to trade ever again. ET members provide enough value if I need help on trading or have a question.

I think anyone writing books on trading or making youtube videos is a Liar and Scammer. This is just my opinion. I never read books, I figure things out by myself for free.

Trading is easy once you stop learning how to trade. SimpleMeLike

well I see your point, but i do not like react. The just word i would use to sum up everything is "Listening". Of course one need to take action, so you may react to your own rules, but listening is more in line with the skill, it creates an emotional detachment, it put the accent on not using my ego but trying to understand what the price is going to telling me, the environment, the patterns, react is much more mechanical, that is not bad if one has a setup, but listening gives you extra insights.

3 days ago I decided to be fully invested in nvda on basis of listening. Reports was speaking about technical topping, macro analysis, narrative, my analysis something else, friends started to app me every second. I just shut down as a monk and listened. To what? to what the market was telling me, now I do not know if will reverse at bell in 4 hours(now premarket +1,2), but I feel i listened, and this was my job in the long run will pay back

  9. I believe I understand your perspective regarding reacting vs. predicting, and I think there may be something of a semantic issue between you and newwurldmn here. You may well be talking about the same thing choosing different language to express it. Just my guess, at least as it relates to entries. However, unless I am mistaken, you also give some credence to measured moves and/or price objectives (which I personally do not engage in). How is that not outright predicting quite apart from reacting?

Measured move is SCIENCE. Although, for some, it might indeed be voodoo science.
