All right, fair enough. But my logic is sound regarding Bill Gate's wanting to rationally pick up the $100 if we assume all of the money he is making is in the form of investment yields right?
Sounds like you and ProfitMania live in different towns. Most of the wealthy people I personally know (not in reference to the neighborhood I mentioned earlier) in which the kids have million dollar trust funds... They still did most things themselves which included sometimes working along side with the hired help. You'll be surprise how many are "anal" about some things and don't want to make sure what's done is perfectly done. However, mowing the lawn is much different because usually such is a large property in comparison to shoveling snow off the driveway. Too much time required to maintain the grash and gardens. Thus, almost all those I know had contract workers mowing their properties or maintaining the outdoor lanscape in the spring, summer and fall. Mark
There is a property with a marble driveway I was reading about...must be slippery...(I wouldn't know, surf does not even give me heat !) However, mowing the lawn is much different because usually such is a large property in comparison to shoveling snow off the driveway.
ProfitMania, simply tell them that you actively manage your personal finances daily between the hours of 8am to 5pm (or much longer!) and cannot be bothered the least bit during that time. It's very difficult, but you must ignore ignorant people. Anxiety is a toxic poison. Toxic people and toxic thoughts must be avoided. Do not let them control your thoughts, feelings and actions. View them as ignorant and immature and be grateful that you are not like them. Don't forget to have some fun with your neighbors. Half-jokingly tell them that you work for an unnamed government agency. Tell them that you are The Cleaner. If they don't respect your career choice, at least they will fear you.
The one sending me home warming gift and telling me to help his lawn is a business man. He runs a trade association for printing business, a dying business because of computer printers.
