What to do with an 800 rebate?

  3. I hope they give the rebate to everyone, not just those who make under a certian amount a year. I don't think we should have rebate, but it feels like free money (I know it isn't), and free money is fun.

  5. If you are trying to boost the economy, you want people spending, not investing. $800.00 means nothing to wealthy people. In other words, getting an $800.00 rebate is not going to cause a wealthy person to go out and start spending more.

    Someone with less money however, has the opportunity to purchase things they want but could not afford before. This creates new spending.

  9. That is not the way Reaganomics works!!

    The money has to be concentrated into those that have it already because they know what to do with it. That is a lot less people, so that would be a lot more than $800 per person. By investing it they create jobs. The poor spending it doesn't help.
