cutting rates does not help subprime borrowers.. Mortgae rates are long term so the fear of inflation dictates the rate.. Now the primary fear is inflation so rate cuts are not affecting mortgages at all. We are almost in a state where further rate cuts may actually push mortgage rates higher.
No, I'm different. I've seen SusanaDT around, too. Is the trading always this crazy when the Fed announces? I was watching the YM future on the Dow trade when it got announced. Traded in a 100-point range within a minute.

Yes it usually is this volatile .... sometimes there is a strong move, and sometimes, like today, it is kind of choppy and can't decide which way to go.
Yeah - and when they do something that is unexpected, it can be even wilder. There are folks with a lot of experience who just step back and watch the show for at least 5 or ten minutes before doing anything. As a "newbie" - I would recommend that you step back and watch before doing anything for at least that long. Good luck with your trading/education.
