It seems that market wants to hit DOW 14000 and then fall. It is like a running competition that at the end runners lean forward a little and try to touch the final tape with their nose and then tumble on the grass and annouce victory.

  5. We should.

The trend is still your friend, right? It's not the end of the trend, so go long!

The only alternative is to go long before the trend. But wait a minute, how can you know there's going to be a trend if the trend hasn't started yet?

    You can't!

So wait until the trend (for example, right now), and go long!

  8. Wow pure genius, guess we don't need to buy your trading system... Umm.. just to be clear here - you do realize that the market continues making the higher highs in multiple timeframes UNTIL it inevitably peaks and drops? I think the general argument being made here has been that nobody can easily predict when the peak will occur. Lots of people thought they were geniuses during the dotcom bubble for example - until it crashed. But you still give no explanation for how you predict the peak. You say you can't predict the future movement but at the same time basically say "uh, it has been going up so I buy and ride the trend" - pure genius.

You lost me. Again, you seem a little too desperate to demonize trend following.
