Today seemed like an obvious short day for financial companies, but most of these companies didnt have any shares available to short. Is it just my broker or are you guys having the same problem?
I wouldnt say that is was hindsight. A little bit of technical analysis wouldve told you that there was a very small chance for it to go up.
One of the reasons: Steeper than expected declines in existing home sales. "The National Association of Realtors said sales resumed their decline in June after a slight rebound in May. Existing home sales declined by 2.6 percent in June, well beyond the 1 percent drop economists had forecast."
