What size trading account would you need in order to make $50 per day trading /scalping?

LOOKS like your math is mostly right;
matter of fact one good volume bioteck ETF XBI is better than one of my energy benchmarks ETFs ,XLE 10 year average. So far so good/ on your math.
Sorry, the volume bioteck XBI cant beat SPY , 1 year , 3 year ,10 years.
Cathy woods maybe can beat that;
but with 80%of pro fund managers cant beat SPY benchmark. Did you know that???????
On a more positive note 80% businesses fail :

[Not bioteck, but since that'$ your interest; you may pull it off;
but never trade or invest with money you cant afford to lose]

I made $25,000 in one day scalping with a $50 lockout. I've also made $200,000 in one day scalping with a $1500 lockout. I don't see how it's possible to produce these results now. However, I think that game ended in 2021. Something has changed with the market makers over the last couple of years that have made it basically impossible to lean on the bids/offers of the level 2's. Prices are changing much faster regardless of the liquidity shown.
