This depends on who actually provided the bond.

I will tell you what he shouldn't do. He should have nothing more to do with law enforcement/security work anymore. Anyone who yelps for his mommy everytime he gets clupped should stay far away from that kind of work.

  3. Duhh good point luvcum LOL. And you're a Florida criminal law expert. I stand by my statement, they are very strict here in hometown Texas with their hiring and will turn down applicants after passing the test and background test on many issues, some are just because the interviewing officer doesn't think the applicant passes the test emotionally. And with Zimmy's baggage he probably couldn't get hired here, now in Florida that could be different.
Idea: next time your visiting your butt buddy little boy leap, you both could go visit and give Zimmy a BJ, that would make you three fools happy.

Did you forget he lied to the judge, do you think that might come up in the hiring interview ?? Duhh

I know someone who had to post bond once. She put up 10% ($500 or a grand, can't recall) and when the trial was over she was out the 10%. If Z put up 100 large on a million, I don't think he's getting it back - it was the fee to the bailbond company, not the actual bond itself. Things might be different in Florida than NC though. And (in the case I described) the perp was found guilty, while Z was aquitted - so maybe the state refunds the bailbond fee.

George gets his money back if he put up the entire bail. But, if he used a bail bondsman and he put up just 10% then that is the bail bondsman's fee for putting up the entire bail.

So, if the bail was $1 million and George put up $100,000 for a bond then the bail bondsman gets his $1 million back from the court and he also keeps George's $100,000 for taking the risk of losing his million dollars.

I think the fee to the bondsman can be reduced by putting up collateral such as the deed to your house.

  10. I was told by a bondsman here in Texas that if you put up the whole amount the county will add fees and charges and end up keeping some of the total that was put up. Don't know if that was part of his sales pitch to get business.
