What should a successful Trader's day/week look like?

It's a work in progress, really.

I trade premarket starting at 4am.
During regular hours I trade the first 1-2 hours.
Middle of the day I work a sales job for 2-3 hours. I'm often trading while on a call.
Trade the after hours until 8pm.
Try to get in chart work before 8pm to be ready for the next day.

Extra review, chart work, and research on the weekends.

Long days and not sustainable over the long term, but what is working.

  2. In my experience, every trader has a different schedule. I think it is wise to take some time out for trading and maintain a healthy mindset.

  3. What I do and how I trade should be irrelevant to you. There are many ways to trade successfully. Some people wake up early, some stay up late. Some have screens in every room in the house, apparently including the restroom lol, and some trade off one computer. Some trade daily charts, weekly, 5 min, 1 hour. None of that should matter to anyone. What matters is finding what works for you. You cant do that without time and experience. No short cuts. i am 20+ years in and I still learn every day.

i have never heard anyone who has earned a net worth of say 8 figures or more trading say “it becomes very easy almost like printing money””.”

One thing is you benefit from a "get ready time" and a "cool down time".

I sleep in and never get up for the open anymore (PST). I did not like the 6 AM wake up, ready by 6:30 am routine. I usually start about 9 AM PST. I do not trade the close either. Instead I go for a bike ride as a "cool down" about 30 minutes before the close. Plenty of money to be made mid day.

Lot of new people see all the heavy action at the open-close and get excited, thinking this is where they need to trade. I think a lot depends on your time zone and your strategies. They should match up.

  9. we are very similar, i hate waking up, hence i swing trade, the recent super fast moves has me more stressed making money than when i am losing money, i am used to a position not needing to be "rolled" or closed for 3 days minimum, and sometimes months, with current market situation its been more like every 3 hours, annoying even when money is made, its annoying, its forcing me to change my style

  10. 100 percent accurate, not sure though the devotion needs to be as extreme as his, perhaps Toni Saliba style requires constant attention, while others can do it over the weekend, but who is to say, none of us at least that we know are as as successful as him
