Rather than engage in your normal ad hominem attacks, why don't you offer your perspective? I realize in Canada you do not enjoy the right of free speech, so the situation may be difficult for you to appreciate. But our Constitution and Supreme Court decisions clearly stand for the proposition that peaceful demonstrators have a right to express their disapproval of government action, in this case, the removal for political reasons of treasured memorials to heroic ancestors. Case after case has established the doctrine that the authorities' duty is to protect non-violent protestors from disruption. The fact that the message may be upsetting to some is of no consequence. The Charlottesville police, following the approach of the Berkeley police, did the exact opposite. They essentially aided and abetted the violent mob and gave them both a heckler's veto over a legal demonstration, and exposed both the original demonstrators and the public at large to an obvious risk of danger, which tragically came to fruition.
A women peacefully walking across the street getting mowed down by a white supremacist is an innocent victim,so are the injured victims.None of the people the registered republican white supremacist vanguard supporter mowed down was hitting his car or engendering him in any way
I don't agree. All participants chose to be there and those injured and killed chose to stay there AFTER the initial violence began. I can give some benefit of doubt and say that some people may have been there to peacefully protest. Once violence breaks out the prudent thing to do is clear the area, like right quick. These people chose to stay right in the middle of the riot. That choice had consequences. There are lesson to be learned, not the least of which is that the radical left should now take note they're no longer the only ones who are willing to commit acts of violence at their "protests". When you show up intending to pick a fight, don't be surprised when someone swings back. Ain't no safe space out there in the street and that's as it should be. They wanna' fight, they got themselves a fight. Happy now lefties? Politicians rejoice. The campaign trail will be exciting. Talking heads rejoice. Rating are up and plenty of mindless hand wringing to be done. It's win/win all around, except for the unwashed masses in the street. Oh well, collateral damage is to be expected. Votes and ratings are what's truly important these days.
More tripe from Obvious. Go watch the video, the protesters were walking off and leaving the scene when the Trump supporter murdered them.
You know...you watch that video and literally everyone has their cell phone out recording, yet we only see 2 videos so far of it happening. Why is that? Why haven't all these people, who are against neo-nazi's, jumped at the chance to upload their footage and show America who's the bad guy? What's on THEIR footage, that they can't upload it?
What really happened? US Patriots decided to organise a peaceful march, all above board, it's their constitutional right. The march was met with the usual white hating, violent left wing mob. One of the left wing mob decided to jump in front of a moving vehicle and was crushed to death. Now the white hating, anti American, left wing media are suggesting it was murder of the worst kind. All so predictable. When you share a country with these left wing fascists, you don't need Putin, or Kim Jong-un as enemies. You already have the most vile enemy to go to war with.
In many Western countries, some demonstrations are not authorized. Usually, people comply, adress the issues ( lack of security), then reapply to be allowed to demonstrate, then get their authorization, and demonstrate. Why couldn't the demonstrators hire some lawyers to get their authorization ????? There is no escuse for a person to die because of a demonstration. In some Western country, some higher up politicians had to resigned because of just one death. Sorry America: what you are showing there is a no no.
