No, that's not what I'm suggesting. Allow me to address all of what I've written surrounding this issue in this one post. Busy day ahead. Need to day trade the YM, because I have not yet lost enough money to suit myself. Have to get my gym day in. Prepare for a meeting this evening, and somewhere in there take a nap. In a nutshell all parties involved need to quit living in the past. Quit blaming present day failures on what happened to people long sense dead. My position has always been that blacks need to get over the whole my ancestors were slaves argument. I cannot in good conscious hold that position without telling the South will rise again crowd that the Civil war is over, your ancestors lost, tough shit, get over it. All of these statues represent the losing side, and I can see how some people, reasonable people don't like what they represent. Couldn't care less what BLM and the Soros funded commies think about it, but I can understand how some good people would take offense. However, this is a part of our history and should be documented, studied, discussed rationally, and have someplace to see these artifacts. Other than that, case closed. it's history. Welcome to the 21st century. I also wrote in another thread that I felt what Trump said about all parties being equally disgusting, equally to blame, equally violent, equally repulsive and equally responsible was just fine by me. The truth is the truth. Now his comments to those business leaders were childish and less than helpful to his overall cause. I also think that those business leaders are making a mistake walking away from the table. If they have a pair of nuts, then they should stay at the table and let the president know how they feel and openly express their differences. This is called having a conversation. This is where common ground and resolutions to problems can occur. Instead they have chosen to pander to the radical left. The left that claims to want a conversation but demands people walk away from the table. I've said it over and over again, and I'll keep saying it, the left wants no conversation. Their intent was, is and always will be to divide and resist all rational thought and conversation. Finally, all parties involved are handling this very poorly. Once again we see that extreme ideology will always trump intellect. My advice to you specifically would be to check that trait in yourself. You're an intelligent person who appears to be drowning in extremist ideology.
Charlottesville also marked another first. It is the first time that the KKK officially joined the alt-right in a protest event. "The Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan is based in Pelham. Members of the group were in Charlottesville as a part of the demonstration." http://www.newsobserver.com/news/local/article167303682.html This will make a number of posters happy here - now they can mention the KKK and alt-right in the same sentence and be technically correct.
He may not have seen the other car, which had been stopped by antifa thugs, but he drove past dozens of rioters he could have run into if that were his goal. It's odd that people were screaming when BLM blocked interstates that they should be run down. Now that a woman who apparently was involved in rioting and blocking cars got herself killed, suddenly everyone is aghast. If you play in traffic, bad things can happen to you.
I appreciate your attempt to be even-handed, but that is the kind of attitude that got us in the mess we're in. People wanted to be seen as compassionate and nice and respectful and made a fetish of obeying the law and court orders, accepting election results even when they were clearly fraudulent, eg Al Franken, etc etc. . We are no longer in a world where that will work. In fact, it is the kind of approach that loses countries. Mitt Romney is moralizing about racists, but decent people are now afraid to even utter an opinion for fear of being beaten, fired or blacklisted. That, of course, is exactly the objective of the left. They will not stop with tearing down a few statues, I can promise you that. I agree with you that it seems like the entire country has gone mad. I fear for how this plays out.
I get it that the game now is to invent strawmen and attack them, but that is not what I said and anyone of even subnormal intelligence can see that. If you are engaged in blocking traffic, it does not take a genius to see there is risk involved. Risk that someone may not stop or may panic when their car is being pounded by bats or a lot of other unpleasant possibilities. I have grown weary of your nonsense. Welcome to ignore.
Thank you for making it clear she did not deserve to die. Because I was seriously wondering why on earth, there were very few condoleances from all political spectrum regarding her death.
Damn: things are really so fucked up there ? Why should Trump hate anyone ? he has a country to run, the world to police, and his own fortune to increase to trillionnaire level before he leaves the White House.
