I bet you do. Seriously, nobody believes that you keep a few $350/phones as backups. That would be grounds for involuntary commitment. So you spend thousands on identical and obsolete phones rather than spend the same (or less) on the latest tech. Sure. You have one. A refurb that is no longer supported. You're a delusional Jed. On a happier and less bizarre note. I've never had an issue with the Ultra series, but I get a new phone every 18 months. I have broken all of the Fold-series; Fold ->5. Gave up on grabbing a 6.
I always wonder why people need extra ultra capable processors to chat via WhatsApp. Also they need hyper definition cameras to take pictures of their ugly mugs. The Redmi is old tech, so it is my refurbished pc with Ubuntu and I do anything I want.
Also if you are not gaming, you don't need a top of the line snapdragon chip. Though, problem with super budget phones is they are not as "snappy." Opening an app takes like a split second more than say a midranger. Doesn't sound like much but that lag is very annoying every time you switch apps.
We might have a conflict area where i live. I noticed my signal degrades over time and it starts showing in that area first. but it affects samsung the most for some reason Other brands dont suffer from signal loss
My iPhone XS Max still running smooth from late 2018 (~6yrs) That's about 200$ bucks per year. Bought it around 1,200. Had the iPhone 5 that I kept through 4 generations. Before that I had an HTC but meh ... Waiting for the iPhone XX
