Are there any statistics if dividends are mostly reinvested, or withdrawn from the accounts and spent?
To learn if most people (your potential clients as a money manager), are mostly interested in an income, or a return strategy.
My universe of people that I know their finances is very small, but I don't know or have heard of anyone using stocks as income. Bonds yes (esp. muni's for their tax advantage), but stocks no.
