What motivates journal writers?

  1. I have been keeping an ET journal for about a month now, and I have found it valuable.

    1. The act of keeping it - deciding what is important & writing it down - helps.

    2. The ability to reflect on what you have done & look for patterns good/bad helps.

    3. A public journal - when accompamnied by a plan - is an additional pressure to stick to the plan

    4. A public journal attracts comments - some are helpful.

Of these, No. 1, is by far the most important.

  3. Heres my business plan.... promotion via an ET journal. Posting live trade ideas. Gather a following. Start charging the following 200 bucks a month.

Try it and get back to me. If you can get a hundred or so members you will make a nice living. I would bet you wont though. Its not as easy as it looks.
