Well it'll be nice to know which one so people can avoid it. I've heard some bank brokers have those issues like Scotia bank (aka Itrade.) Just one of the reviews on google. Mar K 8 reviews 2 weeks ago Their system goes down at very crucial times, and this time it caused me to lose the money for my dream vacation...$2700 + + + It is devasting to me. And they take absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY for their system crashing at crucial market points. They don’t seem to learn from the previous crash, to fix the problem. So it happens again.
Many years ago I had an Australian E-Trade account and was live trialling a new system where I placed numerous buy orders simultaneously. Anyhow their platform froze when the market then was opening (Australia wide) in the middle of my experiment for something like 20-30 minutes and I lost a couple of grand that morning. I made a vigorous complaint and the best they could offer me was 1 free trade as compensation. I told them to stick their one free trade in the place where the sun don't shine and moved all my money to another broker promptly. The amount of commission they lost from that far exceeds any compensation they would have paid me. Subsequently too, I have talked other traders away from using the E-Trade platform. Idiots!
My angry has changed through the years, younger was missing signals or cherry picking, not adhering to my own rules(lack of discipline), then it became relying on company products to work, so then bought generators for electric power, got 3 different internet providers of cable, satellite, T-1, then placed automation and other software on servers close to exchanges. And now it is health is at stalemate. The markets do what they have always done, there be incredible moves for the better and worst, get use to movements, just be better prepared all one can do. Keep learning.
Missing signals that fall into my chart reading parameters that end up really good moves. Usually this happens when I am engaged in 1 market and the signal comes from another and I dont want to spread my focus too much. Also still get the occasional freeze when it comes to taking a loss. This doesnt end pretty but at least there are enough winners now that it doesnt kill me.
