What makes me angry when I trade?

When the dog comes to get me and pretends something is important...like he needs to go outside or there is some giant threat lurking.... and I buy into it. I may have three orders working and I'm walking them down - but I can't have him shitting in the den!!! I get up and follow him and he leads me to a sock on the floor or just stares at some blank spot on a wall without really saying anything.

I get angry that I keep falling for it.

We got two Mini Poodle pups last month and it's non-stop SnP. Take them out and they sit there... bring them back in and they immediately SnP on the rugs. I spend a few hours in the yard during the trading day on the iPad.

Keep them crated for a good while until they definitely have to go, then take them out and praise them like they scored a 30 bagger when they dump in the yard.

The breeder we had - trained them on newspaper as very young pups and never let them touch grass until about 9-10 weeks. The grass substituted for the newspaper in terms of where they target the business. It's all an "association" thing. They have a very unfavorable association with your rugs.

  4. Years ago when I was a professional bowler, an old timer used to tell me... "the mind is the devil's weapon". Likely more true in the financial markets than elsewhere.

Can't trade well if your mind isn't under control.

I've had so many dogs and we're f*cking this sideways. Ugh, crating... Pup1 with spiderweb in mouth, soon to be in stomach.

lol, not sure if you mentioned somewhere... how old are they?

I always got them started on newspaper/pee pad, then put one outside. I timed them on when they will SnP after they ate and made a big deal when they went outside. I've trained a few like that, always worked.

I know you've had at least a few dogs, so I'm sure you know what you're doing. Maybe they just like screwing with you. That or you have really nice rugs...

Four months old on Aug12. We have one rug downstairs that is a 1908 Persian silk with the gold thread running through it. They've ruined it already. My family used to own a chain of furniture stores that went under in the early 90s. We had a rug dept and I know the Iraqi stuff was banned but flowing through our docs. #BetterThanCocaine

We have one of those octagon playpens with the two doors. We put the pee-pads in there. House is too big to be with them 24/7 so we'll have to figure it out. I hate putting them in crates after two months of freedom.

Holy sh*t, you really do have nice rugs! They have good taste though lol.

Four months is still really young, you got some time. I've heard they are really smart dogs.

They were cheap. Not stolen but never invoiced. They were not inventoried during liquidation. We had them in storage. The Iraqis would sell you huge lots for $100K. Occasionally there would be a rare silk or two that was worth what you paid for the lot.

Incredibly smart. Our older poodle will tap me on the foot when he needs to go out.

That's pretty good, I had a dog that would also let me know, maybe not as cool though, he would just bump me or put his head on my leg and wine a bit.

A 1908 Persian silk rug... that's pretty serious. What a shame. Interesting about the Iraqis, I wonder if they knew what the silk ones were worth and got mixed in by accident in the lots, or what.
