Crappy Chair bought for $5 at auction from a bankrupt .com Chiropractor visits at $35/visit to adjust back Physical therapy for $95/visit to recover from poor posture while trading. Missed profit from missing a great market move while being unable to trade for the best day of the year due to being laid up in bed with a bad back: $10,000 Ergonomically correct working environment so the above doesn't happen: priceless
i trade with a 'malung' chair from ikea.... http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/...ductId=11051&langId=-1&parentCats=10114*10292
I finally had to get rid of my Aeron chair. I think the soft mesh seat and the rigid edges were screwing up my knee. Of course it didn't help that after 7 years all the controls were broken. Knee feels fine now. Thought I had arthritis. whew. Now I've got a nicely shaped foam molded chair for about $150. Good arm rests, a little smaller than the Aeron. Much better for my knee. I think the price has come down on a lot of office chairs (must be making them in China or something).
Good one, CC! It's amazing how many traders spend thousands on LCDs and hardware yet sit on a piece of crap $99.00 "executive office chair" from Staples, etc. Seating comfort is right up there with a good monitor, etc.
Best trading I do is when i walk around alot....not starting at the screen......screen hypnosis is the worst!
Costco's "Ergonomic Airseat." It swivels! It rocks! It adjusts! It supports your local lumbar! You can keep your leather chairs. Don't the markets give you enough to sweat about? I prefer a very porous material that breathes so loudly you can hear it. Chair: $99 Sitting on air: Priceless
