  2. Just because he is not an ass expert (like you I presume) does not make him a bad trader!

Jack you can have "streaming data" and still get snap shots. It depends on where your provider gets and calculates its index data.

Are you getting your data from quote.com?

  4. Turn off all the charts and read the tape and DOM. After a while you start to see patterns, support and resistance. You will also start to see the different games that are played in the DOM, but these are just other traders trying to play each other. Remember, you are not trading the product as much as your trading other traders It was strange for me to adjust to this, but now it is my preferred method.

  5. I have a side question. In terms of profit targets, what defines scalping vs. day trading vs. swing trading?

  6. I think that would be an individual question. Myself, I enter a trade and exit as soon as it starts to slow down into a pullback. I'm sure someone else in the same position might take the heat on the pullback, thus creating a longer swing trade. I have a small pain tolerance and exit at the first sign of change in direction.

Well according to Jack himself he is a professional explorer hired by the UN to investigate the melting of the polar ice caps

Not sure how he fits it into his constant presence here at ET but that's what international men of mystery do
