NP...let's all know how you do at Rithmic. I have no current clients using them. I suggested my current client review the offering from Rithmic and CQG Continuum using CQG IC and their API. He choose CQG.

Will do. Right now, alls I can say about Rithmic is their customer service is extremely responsive, and their C++ API is VERY clean and easy to use. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into it.

In fairness, lots of businesses do focus groups and surveys trying to figure out what the "customer" wants from a product

    Hey Robert,

    Thanks for the help!
If you don't mind. Moving away from data feeds, what kind of software would you like to see to help you make a decision, or make a trading decision for you? You seem pretty informed about the market and its sentiment, I would like to know your opinion.
    Thanks!

    Hey Spectre2007,

If there was a software available that could do that, which i think technologically we are still out of reach (although not for long), wouldn't it then trade based on rumors?

According to this study (http://www.bu.edu/econ/files/2011/01/MacKinlay-1996-Event-Studies-in-Economics-and-Finance.pdf), usually news takes time to sink in.

More specifically, a couple of days for negative news and a few for positive news.

I would suggest a tool that does what you have suggested, except with the decision making coming after verification of the news. What do you think?

I'm not an active trader anymore. I provide a service. In addition, the company I work for owns Lightspeed Trader, Sterling Trader Pro and Green Trader (Risk/Margin). I think you are going about it the right way by looking for an need 1st, rather than saying this would be cool if I built this, but I don't have any list of what we need that can't be filled internally.

As a side note, Sterling has an API with and without MD. There are often traders looking to add some functionality to Sterling and we don't offer programming as a service. Offering that service at a fair price, might be something worth looking into. There are well over 5000 users worldwide, some retail and some prop.

I have yet to find an Expert Advisor that makes profits without a Martingale, grid or averaging down betting system. Those systems are highly dangerous in the longer term and invariably crash taking your account with it.
I have tested 100s of EAs. Though none that do not use MQL like MT4 or 5. I expect the same is true with Ninja trader and the others.
Perhaps someone has a positive story to tell ? Preferably without the usual BS and downright lies.
