What job would make it worth moving to a different city? And which city?

Engineers or sales and moving to Texas as housing cheaper and no state income taxes.

  5. I live in Georgia, and I'm ready to leave. The traffic is unbelievable, worse than NY City. I'm currently looking into relocation into the Mountain Time Zone, or the Pacific Northwest possibly (no way California). New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado look nice.

But you would be in Texas... which is probably the reason housing costs and taxes are lower...

We moved 2 hr from any SMSA. Local expats in the last month I have met: Six from NH, 2 CA, 2 from FL.

Maybe the OP's premise of a "city" as the only destination option is missing an interesting opportunity set? :^)

Zowie, I'd have to subtract the pretax cost of vehicle/fuel + a kicker for the value of 20 hours of your time/week and compare that to local job offers.

Those autonomous Model 3's gonna get you.
