Timeframes don't matter. Everything is fractal. What works on 50 tick charts should work on 15 min charts or whatever. Math is math.
I always use 40,1,1 Yes it is not conventional but look at a lot of charts and you will see that it works best when the raw indicator is crossing up over 30. This setting will help you to eliminate a lot of false starts. I can post example charts upon request...
