Confusion breeds confusion. You will know confusion by it's fruits. None of these bring peace of mind. None involve "Know thy Self". All involve "No, my self". They are all meant to delay a time to wake up...to delay the realization that you are already Home...like the song says, "I'm already there". You are Home. You are. You, your Self. Jesus
Part of the confusion stems from a kind of amnesia about who you are...before "Turok" became an experience you called forth. You are an equal to your Creator, with full use of His Mind to make make-believe worlds in which evidence of a Creator seems absent. He will never attack what you believe, or destroy your self-concept as long as you still desire it be so. The evidence that it would be an affront is all around you: In your world, there is not the slightest bit of evidence that God is. This is evidence that God would never cross your wish that it be so. As such, you are the sovereign ruler of your own kingdom. All of your experience within this kingdom has been called forth by the thoughts that you permit into your mind...into a limited version of your mind. That's to say that a limited set of thoughts have been permitted inside a self-imposed subset of mind, none of which permit any evidence that God is. Within this kingdom, within this walled city within a City, you see what you believe quite literally. Here, your faith and trust is hammered out on the anvil of past experience. And nothing in your past experience tells you that God is at all. Understand, then, that to see evidence to the contrary, you must first venture beyond the pale, and believe that there is something else. Do you see how you have trapped yourself? Your right to build a kingdom based on belief can never be violated by a demonstration that would bring you fear, cause you to question your right mind, and destroy your kingdom overnight. You've been building this kingdom for some millions of years, educating yourself as to what is "real". The task of forgetting where you came from has been a learning accomplishment far greater than you fathom. You've built a house of cards stacked so high, it seems you've accomplished the impossible. In fact, no one from the Kingdom of God would venture to even come and put a hand on your shoulder without a clear invitation. For to force you to alter your beliefs would make you a victim and violate the truth, that you are sovereign ruler over what you experience. Asking and receiving has been the status quo whether you realize it or not. Asking is the same as to put a thought into your mind. That is all the Mind of God, as you have employed it, requires to make something of it, and bring it to your experience. Therefore to see any evidence to the contrary at all, you must ask for it. You may have seen evidence by now, that what you put "top-mind" begins to take shape sooner than later. By now, you should be well aware of the experiences of others who have cleared their mind of all else, and prioritized various desires and seen them come to pass, just as they pictured. In this way they have recieved what they have asked for. Asking to know who you are is not much different. But this is the fast track. And it is here the evidence begins to come to your experience sooner than later. Knowing will flow from this asking. So firmly will it flow that you will no longer feel a need that any of your past experience justify what you now know, or what you will now allow to flow through you. The trust and faith that emanates from this knowledge will then become secure within you. There will be no lack of clarity what is in your mind and what you are directly experiencing as a result of it being there. You see, what seems to be a lack of evidence can only be answered by the knowledge that comes from this quest to remember who you are. If you do not believe that you are the sovereign ruler of your experiences, and the sole judge of what evidence is permissible within your domain, you will remain forever trapped within a kingdom of your own making. You will not recognize yourself, or the truth of what I am suggesting as long as you say "Show me". Show yourself, and your efforts will be met with all the help that heaven offers you. In this way, you are always in command. Miracles will light your path like lamps. They are there to show you who you are, and confirm your steps. Jesus
I am a Christian. There was something missing in my life before I accepted that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for my sins and I asked Him to come into my life as Lord and Savior. It is one of those things that I knew deep inside - that something wasn't quite right. I did not have the peace and joy I have now. He has begun to change my motives in life as well. It has not been an easy journey, but not many things worthwhile are. I try to think long term now; I used to think my Roth IRA was long term. If you already have peace before you fall asleep or when you look into the mirror without having a relalationship with God, then don't worry about it; it just wasn't that way for me.
Blessings~ To those that have, more will be given. Here is more... I "died" to teach that death does not exist. Sure, it took me three days to get up and running again, but have you ever tried to find a Jew with jumper cables on the Passover? So I taught existence as all that is...that eternal life is all there is. The only things that could possibly die are some of my jokes. Truthfully, life is all that you are. I "died" to teach that what you think you are - the "son of man" - is a seriously insane notion that seems to be born, seems to age, and seems to die. What a joke! To "sin no more" would simply mean "Know thy Self". This means to "call no man father". Thy Self is Christ, who never dies. Your Father is not a man, nor did he make man. This is not "new age". This is the truth since 33 AD...since always. Who is Christ? Christ is a word to describe everything...unlimited, a power unopposed, Love itself. Christ is an extension of God, like father like son...same same. So, "If you have seen the Son, you've seen the Father". And this includes the same Will and the same Mind. There is nothing that is seen or unseen that is not somehow connected to Christ. What appears to be physical is the body of Christ...which is an illusion of separateness. That is, time, space, form, and bodies symbolize everything that is opposite Christ as an extension of perfection. The "world" is Christ wearing a mask. The world is like a masquerade ball in which everyone pretends to be anything and everything other than Christ. Every face is an image, a pose, an actor, behind which is hidden the face of Christ. The world is a stage of props supporting experiential dramas both tragic and comic. As separate bodies coming and going, Christ dances to the sweet sounds of "anti-Christ" and it's orchestra of idolized virtuoso, worshipped and adored. Not to worry! As each "mask" goes it's merry way, Christ is forgotten, hence the way back: "Know thy Self". To "know thy Self", then, is a process of remembering. Everything you do, do it in remembrance of Self. Make it your purpose. Do this and you will find that you and I are not different at all. In fact, we are the same. This is how to remember "me". I learned that I am Christ through a process that culminated on a cross. "Take up your cross and follow me" does not mean get crucified. It means take yourself down off the many crosses you've nailed yourself to, and follow me to full awareness that you are Christ, away from pain of any kind. Your process will be slightly different, and it need not involve anything other than peace and joy. All processes eventually lead to the correct answer to the question, "Who am I?" A Christian simply follows a little faster, if he has ears to hear. Until you are fully aware that you are Christ, you will suffer conflict of mind and its effects. There were moments on the cross that I was not fully aware of my Self. Only these moments involved any kind of pain. So long as I was aware, there was no pain, because an innocent mind cannot suffer. To be Christian is to suffer if it means that you resist this awareness of who you are. You are everything. Clearly, if you are everything, and I am everything, we must be one, yes? And so it is, I am a symbol of all that is possible with you, because I lived as a symbol of all that is true with you. I am the symbol of life, perfection, love, knowledge, innocence, and devotion to one will. This is all true of you. This is your truth. I am the symbol of your truth. With this understanding, you are me, and I am you. I am within you, a being within your soul. Because I am part of you, all that I accomplished I accomplished within you...by you. The universe is in your mind, so that all that has been accomplished is accomplished by you. Within this universe the model that rises to the top of your mind is the symbol of the man called Jesus. And this is because he represents your true desire. Jesus is the freedom you want to be. Everything else that floats within the universe of the mind is from a past desire and is not your current desire anymore. You are not a slave. You are not a victim. Nothing can be given you that you do not want. You are the free and holy and treasured Son of God. It is fashionable in Christian circles to deny this, sometimes three times in a single night! All that you want is yours. And when you look at me, you see what you want, and recognize what is yours. When you look at me, you are not looking outside your mind. When you look at me, you are looking into your mind not in past or future, but now, finding me there, fully accomplished, living within your mind. So I say, you are eternal, as all eternity is within you. You are the extension of the eternal God. If you believe in time, it must be because you have looked away, and shut your mind off from eternity. It must be because you regard a fragment of your mind as "now", and everything else as not now. But everything is now. Eternity is in your mind, and you are in the mind of eternity. I, who share your mind with you, am the symbol that this is true. I am in your mind now, as a part of you. With me, you have been released because a belief has been loosened in your mind. You had a thought that you were forever separate from God, forever within a spatial compartment of time, forever a slave to your own invention. With me, that was all undone. In me, you see the limitlessness that is your truth. In me you see your innocence and love. In me your perfection remains unmarred. Through the symbol of Jesus you see your own truth. You are the mind that made the world, so the world is within you. It was decided that this was a sin. And much of what you see in the world is a reflection of your belief in sin...a belief that you are sinful. But when you look at me, something inside you rests. It rests because it knows that it need not worry. The truth is still within you. And if I am your truth, then everything else must not be, and so you must not be guilty. To know thySelf, then, you only need to let go of that which isn't truth, and follow your recognition of truth back to your awareness of true. Your conscious awareness is like a forest of beliefs, easy to get lost in. To call you back to truth, the Holy Spirit sends symbols of Light, of which I am one. But these symbols come in many forms and many manners, leading you back to your truth, which is beyond your conscious awareness. The world and all you think about the world is illusion. There is not one thought you have about the world that is true, except that the world has no truth in it. This is what I meant when I said I had "overcome the world" and that "my Kingdom is not of this world". The mind that believes in the world believes what it experiences to be true. And so it lives the experience as if it is true, and it suffers heartache. Life is not in the world. Life is beyond the world. You are Life, and you are also Truth, so you must not be in the world. The world is an illusion of experience within the mind. So you are not really in it. All that you experience and believe to be true is not true. You have simply become lost in the playground of your mind and become frightened there. The good news is that the world is like a playground where thoughts can be expressed freely without affecting reality. The world is a world of thought. Always, you are dealing with thought. Every thought you have ever had is expressed in the world. True Creation is not suffering over your experience in the world. Heaven sheds not one tear. How can Heaven cry or have compassion for that which hasn't happened? The world is merely an experience dreamed up within your mind to satisfy a curiosity that you asked for. You have come to believe your own dream, that is all...and this is why you suffer. Heaven does not suffer, but she does wait eagerly and lovingly to welcome you back to the realization of your Self. Be at peace then. All of God's Sons are predestined to know themselves. All are invited into the awareness of God, and none are to be left out. So look at the world this way: It is an experience that you set up for your learning. "Live" your experience this way: Remember that it isn't true. Having learned that you have no more need of illusion, you will let it go. Till then, remember: Everything you do, you do for yourself. As a Christian, your task is simple: Remember that the universe is a reflection of the past. It is a reflection of a past wish or past belief in the mind. Remember that your truth waits outside this wish, and your truth is calling you home. Remain alert to the symbols of Light that are sent into your conscious awareness for you to follow. Lock onto them, and be led home. Let everything else pass as you see it. See it only as a reflection of the past...mere shadow. Let it pass by without attachment. Stay focused with the Light. Follow the Light. It will lead you safely and easily home. Peace be with you. Joy too. Jesus
While admirable, this comes across like a 60-second "what to say when you want to drop in a testimony without reading the other posts or getting involved with the debate" tract. Make it somewhat less like a Toastmaster's speech and try reading at least some of what is in the thread first. I am on your side. But boilerplate gospel paragraphs have little influence, I think.
Wow! I can't imagine what your sins must have been. Although I'm decidedly less than perfect also, none of my sins would be worth dying over. What is most interesting is that he died for your sins a couple millennia before you were even born. He must have seen you coming. As I said, I can't imagine how bad your sins must have been! P.S. If he died for your sins before you were even born, then does that possibly mean your sins were predetermined and that you had no free will? Or was he just good at predicting that all christians were going to be engaging in mortal sins of one kind or another? Either way, do tell.
Good point. The cross was primarily for my own awareness process, in keeping with the axiom: Everything you do, do it for yourself. But I chose it for a dual purpose so that those at the time could understand better what I was teaching. Inasmuch as they are part of myself, I still did it for myself. As far as predicting sin, that 's fairly easy. Anyone born into a human body is likely to believe they are a "son of man". They will look for a creator who is also in a body and call him "father". If you understand sin to mean seriously insane notions, then this is a sin. And it is this belief that I challenge whenever I draw attention to my teachings via attention getting mechanisms like a cross. Sin is actually a deeply repressed feeling of guilt that has been utterly fabricated by a belief in it. It is taken seriously to the extent that a reactionary thought system is built upon it, resulting in the world of bodies. It takes a concerted effort to remove this belief from where it hides in the mind. My teachings shake this belief to the core, challenging it's dictates calling for death. Other than an attention getting mechanism that draws attention to a body of teachings, death accomplishes nothing. No one can die for anyone else. But a deep belief in guilt will indeed look for a sacrificial scape goat given half a chance to perceive one. The solution, rather, is to look at the guilt directly, as ugly as it may seem, and together with me, dismiss it as a dumb idea, a seriously insane notion, nothing at all. The guilt arises from a belief that in making this world, you've merited unpardonable condemnation...because the world is so utterly opposite and unlike anything that God creates. But when it is put in perspective, it can be seen as an expression of freedom instead...a toy to look at and pass by, when it becomes clear it has no value. There is therefore no basis for condemnation, no basis for guilt. Guilt is indeed a game needing belief in order to perpetuate the experience of the world. So it is a delay maneuver to avoid the inevitable letting go of a toy. My purposes could have been accomplished without the cross. But I chose it for its rich symbolism given those times. Only in this sense could it be said that I died on the cross for you...as opposed to drinking hemlock or some such. Get it? Jesus
Why so bitter? What in you has such a difficult time accepting the personal beliefs of others? Has this man tried to convert you to his belief system? Is this man seen supporting some politician who is implementing a religious agenda to influence you, your beliefs, and your own life?
Wow...this thread is still alive? I guess there are a lot of people who have strong convictions who need to share them. If the goal of religion is peace, I guess this thread shows why there are wars. Difference of opinion is all it takes. Sigh.
