RIGHT IN TWO-- Angels on the sideline, Puzzled and amused. Why did Father give these humans free will? Now they're all confused. Don't these talking monkeys know that Eden has enough to go around? Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys Where there's one you're bound to divide it Right in two Angels on the sideline, Baffled and confused. Father blessed them all with reason, And this is what they choose? Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground. Silly monkeys give them thumbs they forge a blade And where there's one they're bound to divide it Right in two Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground. Silly monkeys give them thumbs they make a club, And beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery. Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability, To lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here. [Cutting it all right in two / Cut it all right in two] / Cutting our love right in two] Fight over the clouds, over wind, over sky Fight over your lie, over blood, over anything Fight over love, over sun, over nothing Fight till they die, (Ahhh!) over what? for their ending Angels on the sideline again, [Mixing love / Benched along] with patience and reason. Angels on the sideline again, Wondering where this tug of war will end. Free will is a matter of perfect freedom...which is part of our perfection. What we are experiencing is a thought process. The decision to explore this freedom did not begin with man. It begins with a momentary recognition of free will defined as being able to choose something other than the expression of who we are. Previously, we were in a state of wholeness, total harmony and peace as an extension of Reality. This is "Eden". In this state we did not recognize what we would define as consequences. The ensuing thought process yields man, beast, every creeping thing, every swimming thing, every plant, every star, and time to perceive it. It did not appear to be harmful or in any way able to take us away any longer than we wished to be away from the recognition of who we really are. But in our perception it did. There was no devious scheme or planning to be separate for a while. Likewise, there was no feeling that we could go out and come back in because at the moment the choice was made, we did not know about going out and coming back in. It is like playing a mind game called "What if?" and believing it is real. As the thought process progresses, our perceptions change, and we experience all of the things that we choose to see. Conversely, according to the rules of this game, we can choose to see our Self. This requires a belief in the axiom that we will experience what we choose to see. Accordingly, we must choose not to see the illusion. It is not more complex than this. Blessed are those who have not yet seen, but believe, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. When we wake up, it will be as if nothing happened, and the time lapse will seem no longer than an instant. Our Reality proceeds without interruption, even while we perceive ourselves in time. Jesus
There are answers to these questions. All available evidence says: What happens after we die? nothing. you are buried in a grave and slowly rot away. Is there a heaven? no. there has never been any evidence that anyplace like the heaven described in the bible exists. Is there a God? Probably not. All evidence indicates that all of the Gods throught history were man made concepts. But what about the stories of healing found in the book you mentioned? there is some evidence that if you give people a crutch they will sometimes change behavior but that is no evidence that there is anything supernatural behind it. i suggust you read this site to learn how it seems prayer works. http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/
Implementing limited evidence, gathered and processed with limited instruments to authoritative totalitarian conclusions. Classic.
You think the bible is not evidence, but some website called whywon'tblahblah is? You must be one of the global warming scientists. Yeah, one of them that think the only evidence is their evidence and the only scientists are themselves. Dilusional nitwits.
I'll just give you a little story on religion, I think it sums it up. This is about my brother. Anyway, he wanted to baptize his daughter (pressure from my parents, it's a right thing to do etc.). So he goes to the priest...and the priest says, "Well, I can't baptize your daughter, since you and your wife never really got married in church, so it would be kind of sin, blah blah blah". My brother replies : " So, how bout for 100 Euros, think you can do it?" Priest: "Sure, no problem...." True story. I mean, take faith however you want it, but leave religion to bullshit peddlers and businessmen.
"God alone, or the necessary being, has the privilege of necessarily existing if he is possible. And since nothing can prevent the possibility of that which is without any limits, without any negation, and consequently, without any contradiction, this fact alone suffices to know the existence of God a priori. ("Monadology," Section 45) " Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz http://www-philosophy.ucdavis.edu/mattey/kant/LEIBNIZ.HTM I suggest you compare the man's accomplishments against your own before making any feeble rebuttals. Having watched replays of the moon landing does not a personal accomplishment make. http://www.utm.edu/research/iep/l/leib-met.htm
Death is merely a door that goes from one room to the next. What you find in that room as you pass through the door is what you carry with you as you make the passage. If it is escape you seek through death, then you will shortly find an equal desire to escape from that room back into life. What is pictured as the world of death and what is conceived of as the world of physical life is no different. Both are dream worlds. If you are interested in waking up from birth-death scenarios, take note of something I said long ago: On either side, it is the same mind, sleeping, dreaming. But strange as it may seem, the options and choices you have available in this realm make it far easier for you to choose to be awake. So you see, death does not really solve anything, or imply a decision. Conversely, death symbolizes indecision. A choice has not been made to deny death...or to awaken to Self - the "Living One". You may ask, if this is a dream, why is death necessary? In a word, it's not. It is only your acceptance of it that makes it apparently so. Should you at this moment absolutely discard the very firm belief that you hold, you would no longer experience death. You believe: I was born I will die There is a beginning There is an end There are transitions You simply transfer the meaning of these beliefs into your physical experiences. If they had no more meaning to you, how could you experience them? Some see infinite life as going between carnate and incarnate states. But if they saw infinite life as a continuous flow without the need for interruption, then that would be the way they experienced it. Too simple? If you don't have a problem with this, you will never die. You may think, there is too much evidence to the contrary. But many have moved through this thought process as I have described. You don't see them because it is outside the scope of what you are willing to accept and believe. Instead, here is how it works: As you expand in the scope of the limitation within which you currently operate, you will see all of the world expanded to fit those new parameters. If you think you must change because the world changes, you are reacting to the illusion. It has nothing to do with the state of the Truth, of the state of your Self, which is the state of the Living One. Truth exists within your Mind and as it becomes more apparently reflected through you, everything you see in the light of its reflection becomes more truthful. Perfection exists at this moment because perfection is the Will of God. It cannot change. It has never changed. It never will change. It is only your perception of perfection that seems to fluctuate, and as your perception fluctuates you see different depths of this truth. For example, iit's like if you want to be able to see white, but your perception allows you only to see black. As you allow your perception to gradually expand, you will be able to see various shades of grey, your world will take on and be colored by whatever shade of black or grey that is reflective of your vision at the moment. Should your body die, it will be taken care of in a pattern that is in keeping with your thinking at the time you decide to leave it. However, should you be at a stage where you are absolutely convinced that your desire is to take your body with you, and you know to the depths of your being that this is a choice that you are fully capable of exercising, then you may take it with you. Should you take the body with you it would be recognized as your body, but it's nature would conform to the nature of the experiences that you were choosing to have at that time. Should you no longer choose to use the physical state of being to implement your waking, then you will not experience the physical state again. This does not mean that because you choose not to be in a physical state that you will automatically wake up. You may still have a sense of limitation existing in a limited state of mind as opposed to being aware of Mind in its entirety. That state of mind will exist with you until you have released the limitations of it. This has nothing to do with being in or out of physical existence. If you decide to awaken completely, I cannot tell you what your choices will be regarding the physical. I can say to you that most find the body to be a hindrance when they are in full recognition of the limitlessness that they truly possess. They choose to have experiences that are, by nature, more limitless. Being in a state without limit allows you latitudes that you would now think to be quite an extraordinary feat. As an example, you could go visit yourself in a past incarnation and strike up a conversation. You could show him or her that your body is as solid as his or hers. You could show him or her various forms of bodies that you have incarnated over the span of your journeys in this dream world of time. You could rolodex through thousands of bodily forms you've used in the course of an hour, leaving your conversation partner dumbfounded. You have created your body, albeit in a very roundabout way which masks the fact that you have. Pregnancy, gestation, birth...these shroud the fact that you are doing it to yourself Once you find yourself beyond the limits that you currently abide by, you will recognize your ability to create a body as being extremely simple. You see, the creative process is that you simply decide that it will be so...whatever you bring into your mind are the experiences you choose to have. At the time you remember how awake you really are, this process becomes more vivid. You recognize the process for being exactly what it is and you merely employ it. For the unlimited Mind, it is as easy to create a body as it is to create a star. You pull these things out of "thin air" so-to-speak. With a limited state of mind, your methods of creating a body are not so impressive. Generally, you will methodically choose parents whose genes seemingly make that particular type of body most easily obtainable. But that too is part of your dream. It is simply the way you mask the true creation of the body which you had wished to have. The creation of that body takes place coincidentally as you are creating the experiences. You create the experiences of aging and death, and the body is continuously changing to be compatible with those experiences. If you choose the experience of illness or an accident, the body will change to fit that pattern as well. It is an accommodation to the experience. And it serves to identify to you what consequences you have attached to the experience. As you come to a point of understanding your experiences, you will come more and more to recognize that there are no consequences and that will be one of the reasons you will begin to wonder what the purpose of the body is truly for. The body has been given a bad rap to some degree. Let us honor the body for the purpose it fulfills in bringing to your conscious recognition the fullest possible aspect of the experience that you have chosen to have. Jesus
Hell is a belief system built on a belief. You could also call it a thought process. Hell is constructed from these thought-beliefs, as Life Force is borrowed from Reality. What appears has no resemblance to Reality, and yet it depends on this Life Force to perpetuate. In this sense, hell is built using the Mind of God in a strange way. For example, an atheist in hell depends 100% on the Mind and Life Force of God to have a mouth and to be able to say, "God is dead". But then, that is an expression of freedom. Hell persists because God will never attack anything that is believed in because freedom belongs to His Kingdom. This means that hell is smack dab in the middle of Heaven and it's inhabitants do not realize it. Hell's thought processes generate feelings of fear and guilt which pretty much define what hell is all about. Much of the fear is generated as power is applied to conflicting ideas. Those in hell are extremely powerful, therefore, they are mainly afraid of themselves as thier power is locked up in conflict and seems to dissapate. These feelings give birth to yet more thoughts as the thought process builds. Many of those thoughts are devoted to the idea of salvation, that is, to somehow finding or building peace into a chaotic thought stream. But so long as fear and guilt linger, or are buried to rise again, hell perpetuates itself. Hell encompasses anything believed in. This includes time, distance between objects, objects, differences between objects. Hell includes earth, and bodies. These are beliefs. The physical realm is a place of "gnashing of teeth" and a place "where the worm never dies". The prime belief that gives rise to hell and its thought system is a belief in separation. This theme is ubiquitous throughout the kingdoms it builds. In hell, it is made worse by fears that there is an even worse hell somewhere in the future, attainable by the least infraction against a tyrannical set of laws and rules. It helps to take the charge out of it by calling it an "insignificant dream". It may also be called a meaningless expression of perfect freedom. What seems to be in hell is there by choice. The prime choice that leads down to hell is the choice to be something other, or something less than the perfect Being you are. Clearly, anything other than perfection is going to be uncomfortably alien. Yet, those who insist on staying have built comfort zones they find hard to shake. If hell is guilt, then what is it's opposite? Holiness is opposite to hell. As guilt is a feeling generated from the belief in separation, innocence is a feeling of peace generated from a belief in the reality of wholeness. Wholeness, holiness, oneness...these are all similar words to describe Heaven. Essentially, Heaven is a state of oneness as Reality. It is a state of Mind that allows Self awareness as All That Is. This describes an all-encompassing Self awareness. Heaven is expansive. Hell is restrictive. A thought system built on separation will always lead to smaller and smaller self-concepts, each different, each unique. Characteristic of hell is low self-esteem. You will also experience self-sabatoge. And don't forget self-destruction. These are all themes that get played out over and over, building upon the seminal idea that gave rise to it. Heaven is not a belief. But those who have believed in hell must believe in Heaven to experience it. The fast track out of hell is to believe that you are Heaven, and Heaven remains unchanged by your appearance in hell. Simply allow this belief to manifest itself in your experience. The truth of Heaven will then dawn gently upon a peaceful mind. Hell is conflict, built upon conflicting notions of Reality and truth. Peace is the only feeling reflective of Reality to be found in hell. Seek peace of mind, and those thoughts that produce feelings of peace. It is this feeling of peace that will reveal to you the knowledge of Who You Are. You will find that the peace comes from within. It cannot be found anywhere outside...anywhere in hell. Jesus
If there is an afterlife, doesnt it make logical sense there was a before-life? Lending creedence to the principle of perpetual existence/reincarnation?
