I asked you several times. How would I know what "no more than anyone else who does what I do gets" means? You could just have said you get nothing in the first place. But instead you let me ask you in four posts, and then called me "dense" for not guessing correctly at what your answer meant. I don't have "tactics." I posted the entire correspondence and got a lot of attacks, and false statements that I felt needed correcting. I wanted to make public exactly what happened between IB and me. Only that! I will continue to do that elsewhere. I think other customers should have a chance to know, and to draw their own conclusions. If they decide I'm a "moron" as you did, and that IB is spotless, that's okay. I think people should have the facts. And you can follow me around calling me names and requesting that I not be allowed to say what happened to me, and that you don't want to read what I've written, if you like.
I don't find "allegate" in the dictionary, but I know what you mean. I wouldn't allege Jerry received payment if he simply said he received no money or services or privileges; that he received nothing, as he has now said. It took me four different QUERIES, not allegations, but QUERIES, to get an answer. It's tiresome! Your providing permission doesn't give me the freedom to make false allegations because I simply don't do that.
1) The original reply was by def, not me. I just didn't feel that anything needed to be added to it Quote from def: "money does NOT exchange hands between IB and quote tracker. Jerry has access to the API just the same as anyone else. he also writes codes for numerous other brokers. it just so happens he has a great program that interacts well with our service. if you look at the posts jerry has made, it is just plain silly to question his integrity." 2) IB API is open to everyone. That means YOU, ME, and EVERY other client of IB. Actually, you don't even need to be a client. its open to EVERYONE. It is common knowledge. Therefore, I did not feel that I had to write a 5 page legal disclaimer to state the obvious, or should I say obvious to everyone but you.
Thanks for the information. I've been on IB for only a month and programming to their API wasn't a subject I would have explored, neither being a programmer nor interested in programming to anything, including their API.

"Don't get discouraged by those Jerrys and Cals, somebody has to be a victim if IB turns to be another Enron." I am getting tired about all the bashing on this thread Institutional Investor - April 2003 Institutional Investor Capital Position Ranking Interactive Brokers Group was ranked 25th in Institutional Investorâs ranking of the 100 largest securities firms ranked by total consolidated capital. Interactive Brokers Groupâs total consolidated capital for 2003 was $1,268.6 million.
