come on jimmy fess up, your an IB client as well.......i stay with IB for several reasons: (1) highest levels of interest paid on cash, since i don't do overnights this helps......compount interest is very powerful; (2) very financially stable, they basically print money; (3) i'm used to them and don't feel like going out of my comfort zone...........lets face it all brokers are garbage in some way and IB is garbage when it comes to reliabiliy of TWS and costumer service......but then if you want a truely pro platform like the kind institutions use you gotta be willing to pay 2k a month for it and i'm not ready for that yet.
Nope, there are actually several reasons why I don't trade with IB. Compounding the margin used to trade is even more powerful. plenty of financially stable brokerages around ... probably more stable than some of these banks, lol. yeah, well, i don't want to have to go back to school to get a degree in computer science just so i can trade. My charts could not keep up with quotes today either, and i am with a totally different broker and data feed. But i use Comcast. Perhaps that is the common thread.

all day my tws/webtrader works pretty well. I just keep the oldest TWS version, I find the older the reliable. whenever I updated TWS, always more problems. so forget about the new version. sometimes I feel when I entered a position, the bid/ask price stuck there, or it flincked quicker than normal time, is it purposedly? I just hate this thing, so I greatly reduced my size in case TWS/webtrader screwed me up! be aware of brokerage firm's dirty hands!

Another poor day. TWS didn't seem to be working quite right. What's going on? Anyone from IB care to comment? This seems to be a general problem.
