  1. What do they really "deserve"? They DESERVE NOTHING... EXCEPT FOR WHAT THEY EARN FOR THEMSELVES.

Given we won't allow citizens to freeze/starve to death.... tit-sucking parasites should be given the MINIMUM... a cot in a shelter + 3 meals a day.... AND a cyanide capsule.

If they don't want to work and tire of the "shelter life", bite down on the pill. Their problems and society's problem regarding them is resolved.

Grandpa told me, "the world doesn't owe you a living"... I still hold to that.

  2. You're far too generous. I say cut the cord, let them fend for themselves. Then laugh at them for being fooled into paying SS and medicare their whole lives.

Which wealthy don’t taxes? Plenty of wealthy in the U.S. pay over 50% of the earnings in taxes (Federal, state, property, hidden, gasoline, etc.).

Amongst your drive-by posts and hissy fits, you’ve yet to identify what you’re outraged at or who the “wealthy” are. All you’ve shown is a mastery of the non sequitur and inability to define terms.

If you aren’t going to answer specifics, at least put me on ignore like freeloader did.

Gee you guys would have fitted just nicely into the Nazi gestapo.
Coming out in your true colours ?
Haven't you forgotten most Americans are the descendents of people so poor they arrived with only the clothes they stood up in.
I don't think you 2 callous fellows are the majority fortunately. Would you like your parents begging out in the rain swept streets ? Or better still you 2, dressed in rags and covered in snow ?

Most of the world has lowered their higher end taxes since the eighties. The disparity between people is becoming critical the world over. I am not saying this is a correlation, but I am saying that whatever the cause, it cannot continue indefinitely.

People will fight with words back and forth, but it won't matter. Eventually it must come to blows, lots of people die, and then something happens. It may or may not fix the original problem, but we all get wiser.

Debate all you want. I am to the point now where I just sit back and watch it all unfold. People are moved only by great love or great pain. Everything in between is mental masturbation.

  7. I'd have my self dignity and the respect for others to off myself before allowing my dependence upon society.

Not to worry... the Utopia I envision for America (you know, where people work hard and take responsibility for their own life, happiness, success..) is a long-lost dream.

  8. You can't meaningfully answer the tax rate question without first answering the spending question.

  9. the solution is simple..

have a progressive tax structure like now, perhaps with a 50% top rate, but the more income taxes you pay, the more votes you get. everyone gets 1 vote minimum; there would be a 500-vote cap maximum.

this makes it fair; if you pay more into the system, you should have a greater say in how your money is spent. it makes no sense that a person with no skin the game has a right to dictate how other people's taxes are being spent.

  10. Humpy, you're talking about a village where before a child is conceived everyone has always done their best to care for and teach respect and responsibility to the mother and father. Why would any child born today want to take care of me in my old age? What did I ever do for them?
