What is the naked short threshold list?

I own this tanker stock VLCCF. It has been added to the "naked short threshold list".

Any insight would be great! Thanks in advance!

 

Stocks with an excessively large naked short position (a short without an attempt at borrowing the stock) are put on this list by the SEC and failed deliveries are essentially rectified under threat of market maker intervention. If anything, this can cause increased buying.

Before you buy any issue, forget about the cover. This is a dirty situation, and It is almost impossible to force a cover.

Look at CALM. Something like a month or two straight down.:eek:
